Kamehameha Schools Maui to phase in students return | News, Sports, Jobs
The Maui News All Kamehameha Schools sites on Maui will remain closed to students until Wednesday, when sites will begin to stagger the return of students through the end of the week, with school operations fully resuming on Aug. 21.
The extended closure and phased return schedule will help prepare teachers, students and families to transition back to school while still allowing for household and community needs to be addressed during the immediate crisis, the school said.

Piano festival set for Feb. 17
The Maui Piano Amateurs Festival will be held at 5 p.m. on Feb. 17, at Wailuku Union Church.
There is no cost to attend.
Participating pianists will perform solo piano works by Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Granados and others.

In its opening weekend, the pop singer’s concert film, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” raked in about $96 million in the box office in the United States and Canada, movie theater chain AMC said Sunday. That makes it the highest grossing concert film domestically for an opening weekend, according to AMC. AMC, which also is the distributor of the film, expects “Eras” to play “to big audiences for weeks to come,” Elizabeth Frank, the company’s executive vice president of worldwide programming and chief content officer, said in a statement.
