A busty Australian model says she's lost out on work because her DD boobs are 'too big'.  

Tahnee Atkinson's career has gone from strength to strength since she won Australia's Next Top Model in 2009.  

But the 28-year-old's ample 'assets' haven't always been viewed in a positive light, and they have at times stopped her from getting work.

Tahnee said that although she has lost jobs because her bust size didn't fit a campaign brief, others booking her have celebrated her curvaceous physique.

'There's obviously that side of the industry where you have to be a size zero and have a tiny cup size, so I've probably lost a bit of work due to the size of my boobs but I've also gained a lot of work because of the size of my boobs,' she told Perth Now.

The model, who sports a DD-bust size, recently marked 10 years of collaborating with the Australian lingerie label Bras N Things. 

Tahnee, alongside model Tia Provost, is officially the face of the label's newest campaign called Full Cup and Fabulous.

The range has been specially designed to cater to women with bigger breasts with the collection featuring bras up to a size G cup.

Tahnee said finding her place in the industry has been easier over the past few years with a greater shift towards inclusiveness and body positivity.

She added working in Australia has also helped as there seems to be more willingness by those booking jobs to include women with fuller figures.

'I think there's definitely a shift which is a great thing, as long as you're fit and healthy and have that glow, then that's what's going to make you succeed, not necessarily being a size zero any more,' she told the publication.

Speaking previously, the model shared she had developed larger breasts quite late, a situation she refused to acknowledge for 'a while'.

'I used to wear smaller bras because I refused to believe I was a DD and now, I've learnt it's all about having the right fit,' she told News.com.au.

Although today she's far more able to accept her body as it is, the model admitted there had been times when she'd wanted smaller boobs.

Aside from aesthetics, Tahnee said bigger breasts had caused her back pain and exercising was an effort.

At the time, the model said she'd also found the size of her breasts dictated that she opt for slightly more demure clothing choices.

'If I'm tanned and I love a piece of clothing that's a bit lower, I will. I just feel more comfortable in a not full-boob top,' she said.
