ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (KBOI) — An inmate working at the St. Anthony Work Camp is back in custody after officials say he stole a vehicle.
The Idaho Department of Correction says on Saturday afternoon Austin Warren Mitchell stole a vehicle at the work site, swapped it out for another truck close by then eventually crashed that second truck.
He was taken into custody and then booked into the Fremont County Jail. He now could face new charges including escape, grand theft, and driving under the influence.
Mitchell is 23 years old. He was serving time for possession of a controlled substance out of Bingham County.
